CB Babysitters

CB Babysitters was originally organized as a co-op of local sitters who collectively helped promote each other's babysitting services.  They quickly learned that there was a large demand in the area for a reputable service to put parents in touch with sitters.  Laura Gutierrez was  one of the main babysitters in the co-op who decided to form the company you see today.  Now, CB Babysitters networks with hotels, event planners, and service providers to ensure parents can rely on a reputable source to find quality childcare.

Laura is native of Caracas, Venezuela and grew up in a family of doctors. Her mother was a pediatrician and specialized in early-childhood development. Her father was an OBGYN and helped bring countless children into the world.  Needless to say, she learned early on the important lessons of child care and always had valuable resources at her fingertips.  After college, Laura traveled to Madrid, Spain to earn her graduate degree in International Affairs and Communications.  She returned to Caracas and worked her way up to become the coordinator of the Social Responsibility Programs at Colgate-Palmolive, working closely with the Oral Care Children's Educational Program, "Bright Smile Bright Futures." Also, as a manager at Kimberly-Clark, she worked closely with the brands Huggies, Pull-ups and Little Swimmers. After a decade in the corporate world, she eventually took a leap of faith and headed to Crested Butte, Colorado to be with her long time pen-pal and mountain enthusiast. Today, she and her husband, Anthony Perez, spend time hiking, skiing, biking and traveling the world. In 2020, they gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Olivia.  She's the sunshine of their life! Laura has also worked as a Spanish Teacher at Western Colorado University and the Crested Butte Community School.  She is also an independent translator and interpreter and still finds time to babysit whenever she can.

Playtime CB Kids, LLC (doing business as "CB Babysitters") is not a nanny service or a childcare provider.  CB Babysitters is a babysitter referral service who will put you in touch with a local independent babysitter who has been background checked, referenced checked and deemed qualified by CB Babysitters.  Ultimately, it is your responsibility to approve the babysitter to care for your children.  All payments and arrangements are made directly between the parent and the babysitter.
