How it works

 CB Babysitters is a babysitting referral service that puts you in contact with a local babysitter. To request a sitter, fill out the babysitting request form.  Please let us know how many children you have, their ages, where you are staying and the dates and times of your request. One of our coordinators will contact you within 24-hours to discuss your request.  Once a sitter is appointed, you can expect a phone call from them to discuss the fine details. They will come to your lodging accommodations to care for your children. They bring games and activities with them so the kids can stay entertained.  If you desire, your sitter can take your kids outside to play. We know all the fun parks and kid-friendly venues to have a great time! ​

Experienced Sitters

Our sitters are mature and know how to handle challenging situations.​ All of the sitters on our list are at least 21 years of age and are CPR/1st Aid certified. All sitters have been background checked and reference check by CB Babysitters.  Most come from a background of teaching, ski instructing or camp counseling.  We care for all ages from infants to toddlers and even teenagers. ​Our recommended sitters are experienced and competent in many areas of childcare including bottle-feeding, bathing and putting your children to bed on time. ​

Rates

$25/hour up to 2 children

​$5/hour per child after 2 children

4 hour minimum (consecutive)

5 child maximum per sitter
2 infant/toddler maximum per sitter

We do not guarantee the same babysitter if requesting multiple days.
Consider our Exclusive Package for a multi-day request offering one consistent babysitter with flexibility in their schedule.

Holiday Rates

$25 Extra Fee on Holidays
Holidays include Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend, Valentine's Day, President's Day Weekend, 4th of July, Labor Day Weekend and Vinotok Bonfire Celebration. 

Holidays are an exceptionally busy time for babysitters and an extra fee is required to ensure babysitters are treated fairly.

Holiday requests are 100% guaranteed from the time of booking.  Full payment is required if cancelled.

Extra Driving Charge

In the instance that a sitter needs to drive further than 12 miles from Crested Butte to travel to your lodging accommodations, your sitter will assess an extra driving charge of $0.50/mile for each mile driven after 12 miles, for their trip to the babysitting job and their return trip.

Example:
If you live 20 miles from Crested Butte, the sitter will charge $4 for the extra 8 miles on the way to the babysitting job and $4 for the extra 8 miles on the way back. The total extra driving charge will be $8 to help cover the extra expense of gas and the babysitter's time. 

Cancellation Fee

If you should need to cancel your babysitting request, please cancel directly with your babysitter.  If cancellation is made with more than 24 hours notice, no cancellation fee is necessary. If cancelled with less than 24 hours of notice, your sitter will request 2 hours worth of pay as a cancellation fee.
Holiday reservations are 100% guaranteed from the time of booking (full payment is required if cancelled). 
Babysitters reserve the right to cancel if the child is sick.

Staying for an extended period of time?  Multiple weeks or the whole summer or winter?  Try our Exclusive Package or Day Camps for an experience to remember! 
Exclusive Package:
  • One consistent babysitter for your family for each babysitting request
  • Great for multi-day requests up to one week
  • Flexibility in scheduling so you can change your plans with no penalty
Day Camps:
  • Offered for private groups only
  • 4, 6 or 8 hour day camps available
  • Planned activities such as arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, nature hikes, baking cookies and so much more!
  • Ideal for children between 2 to 6 years old
Birthday Party and Costume Party planning is available by special request!!!!!
